NIGHTLIGHT EMERGENCY YOUTH SHELTER
The shelter is designed to assist youth; 16 - 30 years of age, reach their potential through shelter and program services. The Board of Directors is committed to operating a structured and secure temporary shelter. Club operational policies and procedures will apply. The shelter should not be confused with drop in services. Referral sources include various community resources such as the Regional Municipality of Niagara and Niagara Regional Police Service.
The catchment area is the Niagara Region. Working closely with the Regional Municipality of Niagara, staff will support youth working on individualized programs. Opportunities for employment counselling, health and legal support, recreation and volunteerism will provide a supportive environment. Outcomes will be carefully monitored and evaluated.
The Boys and Girls Club of Niagara is committed to continuing to expand and embrace partners and supporters in this project and will continue to seek new partners and linkages in the community for the benefit of Niagara's youth.
