HIGH FIVE is a quality assurance standard of Parks and Recreation Ontario, designed to support the safety, well-being and healthy development of children, ages 6-12 in recreation and sport programs. The HIGH FIVE standard is based on the premise that a child's development is best supported when they are in a program that provides them with a caring adult, the opportunity to play, make friends, master skills and participate. We are committed to ensuring that every child has a positive sport and recreation experience.

HIGH FIVE accreditation establishes the benchmark for excellence in children's recreation and sport programming based upon a child focused, research based quality framework. The accreditation process includes four areas in the HIGH FIVE framework: Policies and Procedures, Program Assessments, Training and Development, and Awareness (both internal and external).

It is with great pride that we celebrate the achievements of the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara in receiving this accreditation. Through their enthusiasm and hard work, our team of professionals have dedicated themselves to providing exceptional programs and recreational activities.

The Boys and Girls Club of Niagara is proud to be associated with Bell & True Sport. In 2007 we were recipients of a Bell Community Sport Fund.

At Bell and True Sport we believe in the power of sport to connect communities. We also believe that people like you care about making it as simple as possible for children and youth to play. That's why we've decided to continue the Bell Community Sport Fund in 2007, a $1 million community investment program that provides opportunities for communities to access funds for select team sport programs.

The 2007 Bell Community Sport Fund will help communities increase inclusion and accessibility in team sport programs for children and youth, aged four to seventeen. Over the next year, up to 140 communities in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec will benefit from $5,000 and $25,000 grants.
