Babysitting Course (11+ years) $40.00
The Babysitting Course is a 7.5 hour course designed for young adolescents. The course will focus on learning the responsibilities of being a babysitter, safety in the home and how to care for an infant, toddler and school aged children.
 

Bronze Star (10+ years) $51.00
Bronze Star is the Pre-Bronze Medallion Training standard and excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion. Participants develop problem-solving and decision-making skills as individuals and in partners. Participants will learn CPR and develop Water Smart, confidence and the lifesaving skills needed to be a lifeguard. 
 

 
Bronze Medallion & Emergency First Aid (13+ years or completion of Bronze Star) $125.00+GST ($45.00/book)
Bronze Medallion is the next step in becoming a certified lifeguard. The course includes First Aid skill, water rescue situations and swim endurance activities. The emergency first aid component enhances the knowledge of first aid situations and treatments. Candidates must have successfully completed Bronze Star or be 12 years of age. 100% attendance is mandatory. 
 

Bronze Cross (14+ years) Completion of Bronze Medallion & Emergency First Aid
Bronze Cross is an advance Lifesaving Society course designed to prepare candidates to be lifesavers. Completion of this course prepares candidates to take the National Lifeguard Course. 

 

National Lifeguard Certification (16+ years) $250.00+GST
At the completion of this 40 hour course the successful candidate will be certified as a National Lifeguard and will be able to guard at any pool setting. Take-home assignments and a written and practical exam will also be required. Candidates must be 16 years of age and have a current Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid certificate. 100% attendance is required.
 

 
NLS Re-Certification (16+ years) $75.00+ GST
The NLS course must be re-certified every two years from the last certification date. Please register early as classes fill up quickly! Bring your NLS certifications card to the class. This re-exam involves Life guarding skills, First Aid and Rescue situations. 

 

Lifesaving & Swim Instructors Course (16+ years) $250.00+ GST
This 40 hour course is the last step in becoming a certified Lifesaving instructor. At the completion of this course candidates will be able to teach the Lifesaving Learn to Swim Program as well as the Bronze cluster awards. Candidates must be 16 years of ageby the last day of the course and have a current Bronze Cross of NLS Award. 100% attendance is mandatory.
 
 
Standard First Aid & CPR-C (10+ years) $80.00+ GST
This course provides a certification in First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. The 16 hour course outlines how to deal with wounds, poisoning, head injuries, bone and joint injuries, heart attacks and strokes. Candidates will also learn 2-man CPR for infants, children and adults. This course is designed for professional rescuers, health care workers and lifeguards.
 
 
 
Anaphylaxis in Child Care Settings (10+ years) $40.00+ GST
This course offers training to child care providers to assist them in protecting and improving the overall quality of life for children in child care settings who are at risk for anaphylaxis. 
 
AED Automated External Defibrillator (10+ years) $40.00+ GST
Do you have CPR C and an interest in learning how to use the AED unit? This course will teach you how to feel comfortable using the AED unit and will give you the knowledge that could potentially save someone’s life. 
 

 High Five Certification (16+ years) $70.00+ GST ($30.00/Book)

The 8 hour course is designed to help recreation and sport practitioners gain knowledge and expertise in using approaches that support healthy child development. The course focuses on how to work with a child in the recreation setting, the importance of being a good role model as well as discusses safety in recreation and programming age appropriate activities for children 6 to 12 years of age.
