Life Saving Society’s COMPLETE LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM (Swim Schedule following descriptions)
The Boys and Girls Club of Niagara is an authorized service provider of the Lifesaving Society. The Lifesaving Society is a charitable organization working to prevent drowning and water-related injury through our training programs, Water Smart public education, safety management services, water-incident research and lifesaving sport.
The Society’s Swim Program is a complete learn-to-swim program from Parent & Tot through to Leadership. The program is easy to program and easy to explain. The Swim Program also leads seamlessly into the Society’s lifesaving training awards.
Program content is stroke and skill driven: entries and exits; surface support; underwater skills; movement skills; and Water Smart education. This fun program with achievable content is enjoyable for both the participant and the instructor.
Never too young to learn. Never too old to start.
SWIM LESSONS
Winter Swim lessons will begin January 31st, 2012
Call in registration is acceptable for this program only.
Please come into the Fort Erie Club to make payment - there will be no transfer of payment on deck.
Parent and Tot (6 months-3 yrs. with parent) $43.00 (30 minute lesson)
Parents spend quality time with their child while having fun learning and socializing with others. Through structured in-water interaction between parent and child, our Parent & Tot Program stresses the importance of play in developing water-positive attitudes and skills. We proved Water Smart tips on keeping children safe in any aquatic setting.
Parent and Tot 4:00 PM -4:30 PM
Tykes (2.5 yrs with parent) $43.00 (30 minute lesson)

Tykes 4:00 PM -4:30 PM
Preschool A-E (3-5 yrs.) $43.00 (30 minute lesson)
The Preschool Program gives children a head start on learning to swim. Preschool levels develop an appreciation and healthy respect for the water before these kids get in too deep.
In five Preschool levels we work to ensure 3 to 5 year olds become comfortable in the water and have fun acquiring and developing a foundation of water skills. We incorporate Water Smart education in each level.
Pre- School A-E 4:30 PM- 5:00 PM or 6:15 PM- 6:45 PM
Swimmer 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (6-12 yrs.)
Level 1-3 $43.00, 30 minute lesson, 10 week sessions
Level 4-6 $47.00, 45 minute lesson, 10 week sessions
Our Swimmer program makes sure children learn how to swim before they get in too deep. Swimmer progressions accommodate 5 to 12-year olds including absolute beginners as well as swimmers who want to build on the basics. We stress lots of in-water practice to develop solid swimming strokes and skills. We incorporate Water Smart education in all levels.
Swimmer 1-2 5:00 PM- 5:30 PM or 6:45 PM- 7:15 PM
Swimmer 3-6 5:30 PM- 6:15 PM or 7:15 PM- 8:00 PM
Swim Patrol- Rookie, Ranger & Star Patrol- $52.00 (1 hour lesson)
The Lifesaving Society’s 3-level Canadian Swim Patrol program provides enriched training for those who want to develop swim strokes and skills while having fun in the challenging world of lifesaving. Swim Patrol develops swimming strength and efficiency with emphasis on Water Smart behaviour. Skill drills enhance capability in the water, good physical conditioning and lifesaving judgement.
